IEDC - Bled School of Management IEDC-Bled School of Management, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2006, is one of the leading management development institutions in Europe. It is an international center of excellence in management development, an important business meeting place and a stimulating environment for creative learning and thinking. Participants from all over the world attend the IEDC programs taught by world-class lecturers from the best business schools of Europe and North America. IEDC is also the headquarters of CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association), as well as of the ELC (European Leadership Centre).
IEDC is an internationally renowned business school; more than 70 per cent of participants come from abroad. Every year, more than 3,000 managers participate in the IEDC programs. Since 1986, more than 40,000 executives from 61 countries have attended the IEDC programs. More than one third of them are top managers. This makes the IEDC a true centre of excellence and a major West-East business meeting point in Europe. IEDC is one of the leading innovators in the field of management development. It puts a significant stress on learning from the arts; art as an inspiration for leaders and managers as well as learning gleaned from other professions are special features of the IEDC teaching approach. IEDC houses its own art collection and is continually developing a creative environment for creative leadership. IEDC aims to developing socially responsible leaders who, besides reaching business goals, stimulate development of the society at large. Traditionally, IEDC has been putting a lot of stress to the aspect of leaders’ responsibility; sixteen years ago it was one of the first schools in the world that included ethics in its curriculum, while in 2007 it founded Slovenian chapter of UN Global Compact, world's largest world’s largest corporate global citizenship network.
